The tenure of three principal officers from the College of Education, Akwanga, Nasarawa State, has expired today (Friday).

In an official circular sighted by Nasarawa Newsline signed by the Provost of the College, Dr. Barau Nuhu Barnabas, Friday, disclosed that in accordance with the extant law of the institution, the tenure of Registrar, Bursar and Librarian had expired on 29th January, 2026.

Dr. Barnabas directed the principal officers to hand over the affairs of their various offices accordingly.

“Registrar to the Head of Human Resource (Mrs. Rhoda Kayinu Adamu), Bursar to the Head of Expenditure (Mrs. Juliana David Ishaleku) and College Librarian to Principal Librarian (Mr. Samuel Matthew Manje) on or before 31st January, 2026.” the circular stated.

While expressing appreciation to them for their unwavering dedication to the service of the institution, the Provost wished them success in their future endeavors.

The tenure expiration comes barely four months after the appointment of Dr. Barnabas as Provost of the College by Governor Abdullahi Sule in October last year.

According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, the Provost’s appointment followed the recommendation of the institution’s Governing Council, chaired by Bulus Moyi, after a thorough selection process and interview of shortlisted candidates.
