The Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad l (Rtd) has conferred the title of the Wakilin Ayyukan Lafia to Engineer Muhammad Sani Sidi, the Director-General of the Nasarawa State Bureau for Rural Development.
The monarch announced the conferment on Friday during a courtesy visit by the conferee to the Emir, charging him to inspire a greater deal of development across rural communities.
He said the continued determination of Engr. Sidi highlights his unwavering dedication to service in line with his Bureau’s operational mandates.
The Hausa title, Wakilin Ayyukan Lafia, linguistically denotes an “Ambassador of Quality Development” of the Lafia Emirate.
The conferment has sparked eulogy on the cyberspace with users lauding the Rural Development D-G for devoting his experience, expertise and commitment to revamping rural areas since he assumed office a year ago.
Nasarawa Newsline reports that Governor Abdullahi Sule’s government has committed significant resources to urban-rural infrastructure development in the last six years of his governorship with infrastructure revolution topping sectoral budgetary provisions in the 2026 fiscal year.
