Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has appointed Barr. Labaran Magaji as the new Secretary to the State Government.
Several weeks ago, the Governor relieved his Executive Council members of their appointments, including the then Secretary to the Government of the State, Barr. Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu.
Gov. Sule announced Magaji’s appointment today during a meeting at the Government House in Lafia.
Magaji has since been sworn in into his new position.
Before now, the new SSG was the Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice of the state. He has served in different capacities in the administration of the former Governor of the state, late Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma.
He is a successful lawyer with decades of experience in counter terrorism, money laundering, conveyancing law, rights of terrorism suspects, estate management laws among others.
Gov. Sule, Friday, also announced the sack of all his political appointees, including Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and Personal Assistants with immediate effect.
He thanked the appointees for their steadfastness and invaluable contribution to the growth of his administration.
