Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has forwarded the name of the new Director-General of the Bureau for Public Procurement to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The nominee, Umar Mohammed, is reported to have served in different capacities as a consummate procurement specialist.
Reading the letter of his nomination, Danladi Jatau, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, during the House proceedings today in Lafia, said until Mohammed’s appointment, he was a tested procurement expert who served in the Bureau with proven experience and commitment to the progress of the state” the letter said.
Speaker Jatau directed the Clerk of the House to communicate the nominee to submit 30 copies of his curriculum vitae and appear for screening on Monday next week.
