The Maikaya Development Foundation is sponsoring over 700 Individuals into the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Scheme (NASHIA) to ensure accessible medical and healthcare services that would better the people’s healthcare needs at all times.

Chief Operating Officer of the Foundation, Hon. Shuaibu Sani, made this known when he was hosted by the Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA), Dr. Yahaya Bawa Ubam at the Agency’s headquarters, Tuesday.

Sani, who is the Senior Special Assistant to Nasarawa State Governor on Youth and Students Affairs, said the meeting was to cross all T’s and dot all I’s in advance of the flag-off ceremony for the enrolment of 750 beneficiaries in the state health insurance programme.

Recall that four months ago, the Maikaya Development Foundation approved and funded the enrolment of seven hundred and fifty (750) needy individuals in the state health insurance.

The adoption and payment for 750 vulnerable individuals across the state is in demonstration the Foundation’s shared commitment to the welfare of people, especially the vulnerable population.

Also, the Executive Secretary of NASHIA, Dr. Ubam expressed the Agency’s preparedness for the flag-off ceremony of the 750 beneficiaries that the Maikaya Foundation recently adopted.

He reaffirmed the Agency’s unwavering dedication to offering healthcare services that are accessible, affordable, and effective.

Governor Abdullahi Sule is expected to flag off the ceremony at the Comprehensive Primary Healthcare Centre in Kwandare, Lafia Local Government Area on Thursday.
