Former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Sports Development, Hon. Hamza Moyi, on Friday, organised special prayer session to ensure a successful tenure for good governance in the state under the Sule-led administration.

Moyi said the prayer was essential due to the key role divine interventions could play in delivering good governance to the people.

Held in Lafia, at the instance of the Sangarin Kwandare, Alhaji Ahmadu Abdunkura Al-Makura, a first-class monarch, former ALGON President and Commissioner for Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Aminu Mu’azu Maifata, Commissioner of Agriculture, Hon. Umar Tanko Tunga and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry for Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Umar Idris, amongst others.

Moyi called for support to Governor Sule, adding that the success of any leader is the success of his people.

He urged the people to uphold integrity, positing that the support being received from the people is a hallmark of sustainable governance in the state.

Leading the prayer, Imam Muhammad Ali of Middle-East Mosque Lafia, tasked the masses to continue to pray for their leaders to succeed, stressing that casting aspersions on leaders would in a long run affect the people negatively.

The prayer session witnessed the presence of various youth groups and religious associations.
