Director-General, Nasarawa State Bureau for Pension Administration, Suleiman Musa Nagogo, has refuted the reports making the round that Governor Abdullahi Sule had accepted to vie for the Nasarawa North senatorial seat in 2027.
At an event in Wamba hosted by All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders on Monday, Nagogo was reported to have announced the governor’s intention to run for the senate seat.
“Committee is still a committee of work in progress because we are yet to reach any reasonable milestone in the process of execution of this project.
“But I consider it imperative that, as the saying goes, charity begins at home. I should be able to take it upon myself to call on my own people of Wamba Local Government and inform them about this project,” he added.
“It is equally my duty to inform my own people way before hand that in terms of capacity, in terms of the wherewithal, in terms of the indepth knowledge and understanding of the politics of this senatorial district, A. A. Sule is second to none,” he said.
“This is our own project. This is the project of Wamba people,” he added.
Speaking to Nasarawa Newsline Newspaper, Nagogo said the publication was a total misinterpretation of his announcement.
He noted that the deliberate campaign of misinformation is not only mischievous but misleading.
He said it was a clarion call he made to the governor to consider for the senatorial position in the northern zone considering his capacity and contributions in the private sector and public service.
The Pension Bureau chief called on the people of the zone to rally round the governor to experience people-oriented representation in the country’s legislative house.
He commended Gov. Sule for reviving good governance culture in Nasarawa State, urging him to accept the call for the interest and betterment of the zone.
