Dr. Hajara Danyaro, Member representing Nasarawa Central Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly has distributed no fewer than 700 bags of rice and 300 wrappers to the less-privileged community in her constituency.
The distribution, which was in the spirit of Ramadan being observed by Muslims globally, took place in Nasarawa LGA of Nasarawa State.
Dr. Danyaro, a lone female legislator in the state legislature, said the tens of hundreds of the food items, clothing materials and a car would put smile on the faces of her constituents as part of her contributions to better their lot during and after the fasting period.
Tagged Ramadan and Sallah Palliatives, Dr. Danyaro said the gesture was part of her continued commitment to changing the lives of the people of her constituency positively.
According to her, it was her tenth distribution since assumption in office nearly three years ago, calling on the beneficiaries not to sell the items as it was meant for their consumption.
Speaking during the presentation, Federal Commissioner/CEO of National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Tijjani commended the legislator for having the interest of her constituents at heart.
Dr. Tijjani added that the gesture would improve on the standard of living of the people of the area during the religious rituals.
He called on the people of Nasarawa Central to continue to support her to succeed.
The Emir of Nasarawa, Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibril, the Emir of Nasarawa and Nasarawa State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Aliyu Bello praised Danyaro for ensuring quality representation at the parliament.
Some beniciaries, Mohammed Sani and Umar Abdullahi Bala appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture, assuring her of their support beyond 2027.
